Courier Font History

Courier font is one of the most well-recognized typefaces around the world. Originally this font was designed to be used on the IBM Selectric typewriter that was introduced in 1961. The font also has been adapted to use as a computer font, and versions of it are installed on most desktop computers which later called Courier new. Within the electronic world, this font is intended to use in situations, where columns of characters must be consistently aligned, for instance, in coding. In addition, it used to be the primary font for the screenplay in the movie industry.
